THE TBIRD
The newly revised (November 2005) Traumatic Brain Injury
Resource Directory (TBIRD) lists hundreds of TBI-related resources in
its 25 chapters. The TBIRD is available in print (for a fee) and on-line

THE ROBOT
The ROBOT (Resource Options for Back on Track) is the
new creation at the Rehab Research Center. This educational, vocational,
recreational, and transportation resource guide was created for individuals
with disabilities. It was designed specifically to aid mentors and mentees
in the Back on Track... To Success community
mentoring program, but guess what? It works for everyone else, too.
It lists hundreds of resources in its 11 chapters and over 240 pages.
The ROBOT is most useful for individuals living within the following
California counties: Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Merced,
Monterey, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Cruz,

CENTER
FOR OUTCOME MEASUREMENT IN BRAIN INJURY (COMBI)
The Center for Outcome Measurement in Brain Injury (COMBI)
acts as a national resource for information regarding brain injury outcome
scales. The center maintains information on the most widely used outcome

"BRAIN
MATTERS " Community Education Series & Website!
Brain Matters is a series of community educational events
designed to inform and educate the traumatic brain injury community,
including rehabilitation professionals, individuals with TBI, caregivers,
and family members. The mission of Brain Matters is threefold: to promote
community awareness of the psychosocial and medical issues associated
with brain injury, to provide resources to assist in the rehabilitation
and community integration of the affected individual, and to provide
support for family members and caregivers in a warm comfortable setting.
The topics of future events are derived from feedback of attendees.
