The Rehabilitation
Research Center (RRC) at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) conducts
research to better understand and improve outcomes after disabling injuries.
Our facility at Santa
Clara Valley Medical Center is a federally-funded "Model System of Care"
for individuals who have had brain injuries. Besides providing inpatient
rehabilitation, we also coordinate community programs (like peer support),
conduct research, and provide resources. The TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury)
Projects are funded through the National Institute on Disability and
Rehabilitation Research, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative
Services, US Department of Education.
